Introduction-
It is also known as "palace of wind". It is located at the heart of city. It is a great monument with respect to it's architecture and history.
History-
It was built by "maharaja sawai pratap singh" in 1799. It was designed by Lal chand ustad. It is given a shape of crown of lord krishna. It contain 953 small windows called jharokhas. It is built by red stones and in rajput style architecture
Purpose-
It is built for royal ladies to see the daily activities of street without being seen from outside. It is due to their pardha pratha means face cover. it is also designed as a air conditioner in summer. It maintain low temperature inside the monuments.
Architecture-
The palace is five story shape. The height of palace is 50 feet from ground.First two floor is a shape of palace which is attached with rear side while other top three floor is only one room size.
it is made from red stones. It is built in Rajput style. some mugul Architechure is also kept in inside the palace. It contain 953 wnidows called jharokhas. There is a ramp to reach on the top floors. There is also a museum into it's courtyard. Each window is covered with domes so it also like a domes shaped and they contain a golden kalash which give a golden look in pink stones.
Best time to see-
In early morning. However you can see it in any time in day period.
